Thomas Nocera is Parrotheart Village's Founder, Managing Member of the Florida LLC and Chief Visionary Officer.
Mr. Nocera's expertise is in marketing communications and team building. His longtime client, Millisecond Publishing Company, Inc. is headquartered in Hawaii and has developed a proprietary, deep genealogy database under the brand name: "Family Forest". Mr. Nocera is both a shareholder and advisor to the company which has the world's leading resource for deep ancestral history research: FamilyForest.com
Prior to taking his creative design consultancy online, Mr.Nocera worked in corporate marketing for 6 years with GTE Wireless in Florida. Prior to joining GTE, he founded and was President of SeaVision Video Publishing, Inc.
Nocera is originally from South Bend, Indiana. After graduation from high school in Largo, Florida, Nocera learned to fly and earned a commercial pilot's license while working his way to a degree in Aerospace Science at St. Petersburg College. The summer of 1969 he worked as an associate engineer at Kennedy Space Center and became the youngest member of the launch crew for Apollo 11 - the historic first moon landing. That fall Nocera went on to complete his undergraduate education in Colorado and in 1971 earned a B.S. degree in Aerospace Management (with a marketing minor) from Metropolitan State College - Denver. Years later he returned to academia to complete (with honors) a masters degree in the communications arts and sciences at Western Michigan University. His thesis was how to maximize effective marketing communications using emotive imagery and music to engage audiences.
A life-long water sports enthusiast, Nocera currently makes his home beside Tampa Bay. He lives on a quiet estuary on the western shore of the bay, just south of Safety Harbor, Florida. Hobbies include song writing, sailing and fishing.
Beginning in 2004 and through the current time, Nocera has contracted to provided his public relations services to an agency of the United States Government involved in disaster recovery. His most recent leadership role was during the recovery from Superstorm Sandy. His responsibilities, in addition to serving as the agency's lead spokesperson to the media included the field training of new Public Information Officers for the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Disaster Assistance.
Parrothead Village was conceived by Tom Nocera prior to 2003 when he reserved the domain name. It has been refined and perfected ever since. Note: Parrothead Village is not associated with Margaritaville Enterprises, LLC.
