Parrothead Village, LLC is registered in Florida as a Limited Liability Company, owned and managed by Thomas Nocera of Clearwater. Nocera directs the growth and development of Parrothead Village, LLC with the help of a board of advisors who have significant and specialized business acumen.
The vision for Parrothead VillageTM as an upscale beachfront retirement facility specifically focused on the psychographics of the first wave of" baby boomers" began well over a decade ago. In 2003 the .com domain name "Parrothead Village" was secured by Nocera and is provided under license, along with other of Nocera's intellectual property, to the company. In 2005 the Parrothead VillageTM website was launched and thus began the process of introducing Nocera's vision to the public. The original logo is depicted below.
In 2013 Nocera made application to register his trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the classification of Real Estate. The registration process is currently underway. Upon its approval the registered trademark is expected to be licensed for the company's use in marketing.
In 2014 Nocera wrote the music and lyrics to the song "Parrothead Village" and had it professionally recorded. He also secured the rights for its use as a YouTube video. Recently Nocera edited a video to illustrate the song which portrays many enticing aspects of living at Parrothead VillageTM
Recently Nocera began discussions with building designers and architects regarding a specific, distinctive "signature" look for PhV locations. Those discussions included a tour of possible Florida Gulf Coast locations which took place in late December. Confidential negotiations are currently underway. Our plan is to open 4 (four) locations on the Gulf Coast quickly to provide our guests with the key element of transferability of location - after one year of residency. Locations identified for our first sites are: Sarasota County, Collier County (Naples/Marco Island), Monroe County (Upper Keys) and Pinellas County, Florida.
Based on discussions with architects and a survey of waterfront locations, it is estimated that each PhV building will cost $35M to build and that sites will cost between $6M and $10M. Sites have been identified and discussions regarding inviting possible joint venture partners are underway.
Finding the PhV logo to be well-liked when embroidered on shirts and hats, Nocera sees a marketing opportunity at hand for introducing PhV online with a branded line of quality apparel and unique gifts. Discussions are currently underway to identify parties with the expertise in fulfilling online orders for PhV branded clothing and gifts. Nocera's intellectual property attorney in Atlanta has been retained to research any possible trademark conflicts in the category of clothing. If a favorable legal opinion is rendered then Nocera expects to license the logo to a separate company who will introduce and market the PhV branded clothing and gift items through various marketing channels including: conventional retail; on websites as well as direct response television.
